Fishing tips
- Cold, clear lakes — early ice-out lakers stay shallow for two weeks, then plummet.
- Algonquin brook trout responds to small streamers and slow-trolled spoons.
- Ice-out through May is the best window for shallow lake trout. After the water warms, work the 60–90 ft contour with downriggers.
- Access: Free public launch lots at both locations.
