    Fishing tips

    • Kawarthas are shallow and weed-heavy — punch mats for summer largemouth.
    • Muskie love the Trent's weed edges and lock approaches.
    • Fish the current seams near the lock and dam early in the day — bass and walleye stack where the flow meets slack water.
    • Access: Free lot near the lock station.
