    Fishing tips

    • St. Lawrence smallmouth relate to current — drop-shot the drop-offs.
    • Thousand Islands muskie respond to figure-8s at boatside — always finish the retrieve.
    • Hogg Bay itself is worth fishing on windy days — the weed edges hold largemouth and pike when the main lake is unfishable.
    • Access: Day-use lot inside the park (vehicle permit fee); main launch at Hogg Bay.
