    About this water

    Deep in the boreal forest near Hearst, Nagagami Lake is a premier drive-to walleye destination. Multiple lodges operate on the lake offering excellent guided trips.

    Fishing tips

    • Tannin-stained water = bright and loud lures win; think firetiger and chartreuse.

    • Nagagami walleye respond well to slow presentations. Drift along the sandy flats with a Lindy rig tipped with a leech. Pike lurk in the weedy bays — large spinnerbaits get their attention.
