Fishing tips
- Tannin-stained water = bright and loud lures win; think firetiger and chartreuse.
- Post-spawn walleye stack in current seams below hydro dams.
- Nagagami walleye respond well to slow presentations. Drift along the sandy flats with a Lindy rig tipped with a leech. Pike lurk in the weedy bays — large spinnerbaits get their attention.
- Access: Lodge access or remote boat launch. Check with local outfitters for access.
